Springfield Jr. Blues News Release
Springfield, Illinois - The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce our acquisition of defenseman Daniel Juzych from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs!
Juzych, a native of Bloomington Hills, MI, played in 21 games for the Ice Dogs during the 2020-21 NAHL season where he recorded 1 assist and added 16 PIM. Prior to playing in the NAHL, Juzych played for Cranbrook Kingswood School in 2019-20 where he scored 8 goals and 17 assists in 25 games played.
"Daniel brings a lot to the table for us," said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. "He's a hard working defenseman who already has experience in our league and has proven he can play at this level."
Juzych will join our previously announced roster of players from our Main Camp to compete for a spot on our Opening Night Roster. Training Camp gets underway next week and our first games of the 2021-22 season are set for September 10th and 11th in Janesville against the Jets.
