Josh Craft named first Grizzly

Fairbanks, AK.12.11.07. Just 2 days after the Grizzlies name Lee Mireles Head Coach the Fairbanks community did not have too wait long to find out who the 1st player in team history is. On Thursday at the Carlson Center the team introduced form local standout Josh Craft as the 1st player signed in team history. Josh played his High School Football at West Valley where he was named All Railbelt Conference Center in 1998 and 1999 and in 1999 was named 1st Team All State Center. Upon graduating from West Valley in 1999 Josh went east to Virginia Tech where he walked on and made the team at the Center position and was a member of their Big East Championship season where they finished the National Runner up in 2000.
"Anytime you can get a Division 1 lineman to play for you, you have to jump at it," stated Team Owner Chad Dittman. Josh will anchor the offensive line for the Grizzlies in their inaugural season.
"I cannot overstate the importance of the offensive line and with the signing of Josh this gives us a great start," stated Head Coach Lee Mireles.
Josh graduated from UAF with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2004. He lives in the Fairbanks area where he is a Full-Time Residential Home Builder. "I am excited for the opportunity to just get on the field and play again in front of my family and friends," stated Josh Craft. Josh was born and raised in Fairbanks and is now 26 years old and is 6'1" 295 pounds.

The Lady Grizzlies for lack of a better name will be at the Gold Rush Saloon this Friday night at 8:00 P.M. assisting with the Saloon's Christmas Toy Drive. Come and hang out with newest and hottest cheerleaders in the IFL as they work to do their part for the less fortunate children in Fairbanks.
