Jones Named Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. (May 12, 2015) - Richmond Raiders DB Torez Jones was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) on Tuesday for his play in Sunday's game against Erie. Jones nabbed 3 interceptions and ran one back for a touchdown in Richmond's 70-46 victory.
In addition to Jones' outstanding performance, two other Raiders, WR Robert Holland and K T.C. Stevens, also earned Honorable Mentions in Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week respectively. Holland hauled in eight catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Stevens scored 10 points with his kicking accuracy in the win.
The Raiders are next in action Saturday, May 23 as they host the Trenton Freedom at the Richmond Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
