Huntsville, Ala - The Seattle Mariners made the following roster move today that affects the Jackson Generals roster prior to tonight's road game against the Huntsville Stars.

. OF James Jones has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma

. LHP Nick Hill has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma

. OF Cavan Cohoes has been activated from Rookie AZL Mariners

. RHP Kevin McCoy has been activated from Rookie AZL Mariners

JONES, 24, a midseason Southern League All-Star batted .275 with 14 doubles, 10 triples, 6 home runs and 45 RBIs in 101 games. Jones also stole a team-leading 28 bases including 2 on Thursday night in Huntsville. Jones was Seattle's 4th round draft choice in 2009 and is a native of Brooklyn, NY.

HILL, 28, made 42 relief appearances for the Generals this season and was 2-3, with a 2.17 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched. Hill was Seattle's 7th round draft choice in 2007 out of Army.

COHOES, 20, a native of Stuttgart, Germany was batting .151 (13x86) with a double and 4 RBIs in 31 games for the Rookie, AZL Mariners. Cohoes was the Mariners' 9th round draft choice in 2011.

McCOY, 22, becomes the second member of the 2013 draft class to reach Double-A. McCoy was Seattle's 24th round selection this past June out of Kennesaw State University. In 15 games for the Rookie, AZL Mariners McCoy was 2-1 with a 2.59 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched.
