
Jones Dealt to Brampton

Erie Otters News Release
The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have traded forward Sean Jones to the Brampton Battalion in exchange for Evan Accettura and a sixth round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. Accettura, a 17 year-old Novi, Michigan native, was selected 135th overall by the Battalion in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defender recorded a goal and six assists for seven points in 29 games with Compuware Under-18 last season. Jones played 112 games as a member of the Otters registering 34 goals and 33 assists for 67 points. The Newmarket, Ontario native was originally acquired by the Otters from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in November of 2007.
The Otters 2009 Training Camp begins in earnest tomorrow (Tuesday) when all veterans and prospects take to the ice for the first of five days of competition. Practice will be held in the morning followed by afternoon scrimmages at 1:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. All on-ice sessions at the Tullio Arena are open to the public free of charge.
Tickets for the Otters lone home pre-season game against the Niagara IceDogs to be played Saturday, August 29th at 5 p.m. at the Tullio Arena are now on sale at all Erie-area Ticketmaster locations, at the Civic Center Box Office, by calling 814-452-4857 or by visiting www.ottershockey.com. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under) in either Platinum or Gold Seating.
