Join Team Albany Devils at Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers 5K

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany Devils invite fans to join their executive office staff, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, the Blue Star Mothers of America and USA Cares to participate in the running of the The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers 5K Run/Walk. The event will be held at Washington Park in Albany, N.Y. on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

The run/walk will honor the courage and dedication of first responders, the United States Military and families involved in the events of 9/11.

By selecting "Albany Devils" under the team category when registering online at tunneltotowersfoundation.org/albany.aspx, each runner will receive part of a player's uniform. Additionally, all participants will receive a Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers commemorative t-shirt. Registration is $25.

The Albany Devils, along with Devil Dawg, will be running a kids zone during the event. Children of all ages can participate in a variety of activities and enter to win prizes.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the legacy of Stephen Siller, FDNY, who lost his life in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The foundation supports firefighters, military members and children of parents who suffered while in the line of duty.

Blue Star Mothers of America provide support for all active duty personnel, while assisting in Veterans' organizations, promoting patriotism and being available to assist in other homeland volunteer efforts.

USA Cares provides financial and advocacy assistance to post 9/11 active duty military service personnel, veterans and their families.
