
Ferraro Brothers Return to Providence

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, entering their 20th season in the American Hockey League, announced today that former P-Bruins Peter and Chris Ferraro will participate in the Alumni Game on November 13 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
Peter, a veteran of 15 professional seasons, spent 1998-2001 with the Providence and Boston Bruins. The 24th overall pick by the New York Rangers in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, he made his debut with the Bruins organization during the 1998-99 campaign. During the 1998-99 season, the P-Bruins' all-time playoff point leader recorded a team-high nine goals and 21 points en route to winning the franchise's first ever Calder Cup Trophy. In 142 career games with Providence, the winger tallied 62 goals and added 80 assists for 142 points, which ranks ninth among Providence's all-time regular season point leaders.
The Port Jefferson, New York native saw time in 92 NHL games with Boston, New York, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals. Following his three seasons in the Bruins organization, Peter had a brief stint with the Capitals and spent time in various AHL cities and overseas. He spent his final professional season, 2008-09, on the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) with his twin brother Chris.
Chris, the 85th overall pick by New York in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, played 21 games for Providence during the 1999-00 season. Joining the P-Bruins mid-season season from the Chicago Wolves (IHL), the centerman recorded nine goals and added nine helpers for 18 points. Following his brief stint with his twin brother in Providence, Chris made stops in various AHL cities and spent two seasons overseas. He finished his professional career with Las Vegas following the 2008-09 season, during which his 46 points ranked second on the team.
The Ferraro twins became the second set of identical twins to play on the same NHL team when they both suited up for the Rangers in the 1995-96 season.
Over the next month, the Providence Bruins will continue to unveil the roster of players that will return to Providence for the November 13 Alumni Game.
