
Johnny Pearson Returns to Thunderbirds on One-Year Deal

(HALIFAX, NS) The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team has signed defender Johnny Pearson to a one-year contract.
"I'm really excited to get around Johnny. I think he can take some big steps this year and be an impactful part of our defence," Thunderbirds assistant coach Andrew Suitor said.
Pearson, 28, is entering his second season as a member of the Thunderbirds' organization. He has spent four seasons in the National Lacrosse League, split between Halifax, San Diego, Albany, and Panther City.
The Langley, BC product signed late in training camp with Halifax a year ago, joining the team for their two preseason scrimmages in Akwesasne. After impressing during those showings, he was a staple in the Thunderbirds' lineup.
Playing in all 18 games last season, Pearson finished the year with three goals in transition and five points as well as 29 LB and five CTOs.
