Oklahoma Warriors News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma Warriors forward Joey Delgreco announced his commitment to play Division I college hockey for the Augustana University Vikings Sunday.
"The trust in the coaching staff was one of the biggest reasons that led me to choose Augustana," said Delgreco. "I believe that they are going to build something special, and I want to be a part of it. I want to win and I think this will be a great opportunity to contribute to the building of a winning program early on."
Augustana will begin play as the ninth member of the CCHA for the 2023-24 season.
Delgreco, 19, has already put up 19 (6G+13A) points through 20 games played to begin the 2022-23 NAHL season with Oklahoma, but his drive to excel has the Grand Rapids, Minnesota, native focused on continued self-improvement.
"I want to focus on getting faster and stronger this season to help prepare me for college hockey. I still have a lot to learn as the season progresses, but with the help of my teammates and coaches in Oklahoma City I believe I can take my game to another level."
