
Joel Bouchard Joins The Montreal Juniors

Montreal, September 8, 2008 - The Montreal Juniors proudly announced today that former NHL defenseman Joël Bouchard is hired as assistant coach for the team.
Bouchard played 13 years in the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in 1992. He has also played for the Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars, Phoenix Coyotes, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Islanders.
For the past few years, Bouchard has hosted and produced the Académie de hockey McDonald's TV show on RDS. This show presents NHL players giving advices to young players to improve their technical skills.

The QMJHL is finally returning to Montreal in September 2008, after a five year absence. As an established team and legitimate MasterCard Memorial Cup contender, the Montreal Juniors rely on a strong core of young, talented players and a group of dedicated coaches with Pascal Vincent as their leader. Recently renovated for the team, the Verdun Auditorium will host the local games where excitement, passion and energy will meet!
