New England Black Wolves News Release

UNCASVILLE, CT. - New England announced today that the team has agreed on a three-year commitment with faceoff specialist and defender, Joe Nardella.

‚¬â€¹Per team policy, no details were released.

"Joe had an immediate impact on our group with his play and personality," Glenn Clark, head coach and general manager said. "His ability to adapt to the indoor game, absorb coaching and become a solid NLL player so quickly is impressive. Additionally, his ability to take feedback without ego and apply it to his game will continue to serve him well as he improves at the NLL level."

During the 2019-20 season, Nardella quickly established himself as one of the top faceoff performers in the league. As a rookie in the box game, the Rutgers University graduate found himself on the 'X' 277 times, where he ran away with the ball 160 times. His 160 successful faceoffs, placed him fourth in the league for wins and his .578 win percentage ranked him third. As for his spot against other rookies, Nardella sat second in faceoff wins and first in win percentage.

Offensively, he recorded two goals and four assists for six points. Defensively, he tallied 86 loose balls, placing him first among rookies and second among teammates, and caused 11 turnovers, placing him second on the Black Wolves.

During the off season, Nardella competes for the Whipsnakes of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). On Saturday, July 25 he and his team will faceoff against the Redwoods at 4pm on NBC. This season, the league's seven teams will compete in a fourteen-game group play format to determine the seeding for the following week's single elimination tournament.
