Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) The Fargo-Moorhead Jets Hockey team is proud the addition of five new interns who will assist the front office in the operation of the franchise for the 2006-2007 season.

Both Concordia College and Minnesota State-Moorhead provided potential candidates for the internship, which is not directly paid but does provide commission opportunities. Joining the FM Jets for the season are; Ryan Johnson (Concordia), Steven Borgen (MSUM), Lindsay Jensen (MSUM), Jessalyn Brown (MSUM) and Chris Huber (MSUM).

"After interviewing numerous candidates from the local colleges, we are very happy with the selections we made," said Scott Montesano the team's Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. "We'd like to thank both Concordia and MSUM for believing in our program and what we try to teach here."

Montesano, along with Director of Operations Steve Strasheim conducted the interviews.

The interns will assist in all aspects of the business side of the FM Jets', including but not limited to making sales calls along with designing and implementing promotions. They will also coordinate the team's game night promotions and be very visible to the fan base.

"I know the interns last season developed a fan base of their own, and this crew should be no different" added Montesano.

The FM Jets are 2-2-0 following the North American Hockey League Showcase in Blaine, MN last week, and begin the home portion of their schedule September 28-30 when they face the Alaska Avalanche at the Carlson Coliseum.

The FM Jets Junior A Hockey Club is in its fourth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 31st year of operation. For more information, visit fmjets.com or call (701) 235-2354.
