Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

(Fargo, ND) - The Jets were able to make a deal with the Topeka Road Runners over the weekend in Blaine to acquire former Moorhead Spud Pat Dietz.

Dietz gets to come home after spending a few weeks in Kansas he couldn't be happier. "When I was traded to the Jets I was thrilled be apart of my hometown once again and for a great organization." The Jets pick up their 7th hometown hero on the season.

Coach Chad Johnson was just as pleased to have Dietz join the team, "Coming from a winning team and program built on player development, Dietz will not be just filling another spot. He knows how to play and contribute and we look forward to his presence."

Dietz was third on the Spuds last season with 43 point (24g, 19a) and only 26 minutes in the box for a squad that finished 24-2. Moorhead was the only team to beat the Roseau Rams in the regular season, which went on to claim the State Title. "I'm glad to playing with D Sam Carr (Roseau, MN) than against," Dietz said with a chuckle.
