Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

(Fargo, ND) - A gathering of over 700 gathered around in the Coliseum to witness another Jets victory at the skates of the Alexandria Blizzard, 5-1.

The game couldn't have started on a better note just 39 seconds in Marc Mihulka (Grand Forks, ND) stole the puck on the Blizzard blue line and found Mark Johnson (Bloomington, MN) who rifled it past Matt Beggs (Apple Valley, MN) for a quick 1-0 start.

The second period begun with a jolt of thunder as Jordy Trottier (Bozeman, MT) added another power-play goal 1:23 in giving the Jets a 2-0 cushion and they never looked back.

Elliot Okland (Fargo, ND) made all but one save to earn the victory, tallying 54 saves for the win. Andy Dittus (Minot, ND) also continued his scoring streak finishing with a goal. Mihulka provided two assists in the performance as well. The Jets penalty kill made the Blizzard cringe as they failed all 13 times. "It was our special teams that played their hearts out this weekend and they deserve much of the credit," explained Jets head coach Chad Johnson.

With a week to prepare for the Springfield, the Jets have no time to soak of the success as this is only the beginning. Come join the action on Friday October 5th at 7:35pm and Saturday October 6th at 7:05pm.
