Jets Player Earns POW

Fargo, ND The Fargo-Moorhead Jets are proud to announce that Phil Fox has been named the North American Hockey League's Sher-wood Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending Feb. 12. In a weekend that saw the FM Jets offense explode for 23 goals in two games, Fox played a leading role scoring eight points (5 goals) in blowout victories over Billings and North Iowa.

Fox scored four goals and added an assist in the FM Jets 13-0 route over Billings Feb. 10. It was the second consecutive game Fox had scored four-goals after doing it on Feb. 4 at Bozeman. He followed the Billings game with a night modest by his recent standards, scoring a goal and two assists Feb. 11 vs. North Iowa.

This is the second time Fox has earned POW honors, having previously earning the award for the week ending Dec. 4.

Fox leads the FM Jets with 55 points in only 35 games. He started the season with Cedar Rapids in the United States Hockey League before coming back to the FM Jets in late October.

The FM Jets are at the Minnesota Blizzard Feb. 16 and 18 at 7:30pm.

Fox is the FM Jets all-time leader in career points, and currently has 55 points which is tied for the franchise lead
