LANCASTER, CA - After three fantastic pitching performances at The Hangar things returned to normal on Thursday night. A total of 23 runs were scored as the San Jose Giants beat the JetHawks, 15-8, to avoid a three-game sweep.

Lancaster jumped out to an early lead on Giants starter Seth Rosin who lasted just two innings. Chris Epps doubled in Jonathan Meyer in the second for the games first run. Ben Heath and George Springer added RBI-singles later in the inning to give the JetHawks a 3-0 lead.

Jorge De Leon (2-9) tossed three scoreless innings to start the game but lost his touch in the third inning. After issuing two walks and a single to load the bases with nobody out, Jarrett Parker knocked a ball into the right centerfield gap for a three-run triple to tie the game. De Leon was pulled after a leadoff walk in the fourth inning with the game tied, 3-3.

Jose Trinidad entered and suffered his worst outing of the season. The right-hander who came in with a 2.58 ERA allowed eight runs on seven hits in 1 1/3 innings. The Giants scored three runs in the fifth and seven in the sixth to take a 13-3 lead. Andrew Robinson finished the sixth with two walks and two run-scoring wild pitches in his first outing since July 1.

Lancaster got a two-run homer in the seventh inning from Ben Heath after Chris Epps reached on an error to make it an eight-run game but the Giants got the runs back in next half inning on a Ricky Oropesa two-run double. Oropesa finished the night 4-for-4 with two doubles and a Giants season-high five RBI. Shortstop Joe Panik scored four times in the game hitting ahead of Oropesa.

Epps launched a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh for the final run-scoring play of the game. Epps scored three times on the night and drove in four runs. Springer finished the game with three hits.

The JetHawks (14-13, 51-46) head off to Rancho Cucamonga to begin a three game series with the Quakes beginning on Friday night at 7:05 pm. David Martinez will start against Garrett Gould.
