
JetHawks Lose Final Game of Homestand 11-2 to Mavericks

(Lancaster, CA) â The Lancaster JetHawks dropped an 11-2 decision to the High Desert Mavericks on Thursday night at Clear Channel Stadium at Lancaster, CA. The loss drops the JetHawks to 30-25 on the year.
Even with the loss, the JetHawks finished the longest homestand of the year with a 6-2 record.
Lancaster scored an unearned run in the first inning to lead the game 1-0.
Chris Kinsey (3-7) allowed three runs on seven hits over six innings of work, and was charged with the loss.
High Desert scored eight runs over the final three innings to break the game open. The Lancaster bullpen was charged with eight runs on eight hits over the final three innings.
The JetHawks allowed the Mavericks to lead off seven of the nine innings by reaching base. The lead-off hitters collectively had six hits with a walk and a home run.
The JetHawks open a nine-game road trip on Friday night. Matt Chico will make his JetHawks debut in the opening game of the series in Rancho Cucamonga. Bill Edwards will make the start for the Quakes in the 7:15 P.M. game at the Epicenter.
