JetHawks Final Home Stand to Include 3 Jersey Auctions

(LANCASTER, CA) -The Lancaster JetHawks final home stand of the 2010 regular season will include 3 jersey auctions to go along with an already promotion-packed seven games. Thursday and Friday nights auctions will be of the shirt off your back variety, giving fans the opportunity to go home with their favorite player's game-worn jersey. Sunday's auction will be a Houston Astros jersey signed by all of the 2010 JetHawks.
Thursday's "Shirt off your back" auction will feature the 15th anniversary throwback purple pinstripe uniforms, which the JetHawks have worn every Thursday night this season commemorating the original home uniform of the inaugural 1996 season.
Friday night the JetHawks will be wearing jersey's designed by kids who entered the Penny Lane Design a Jersey Contest. Part of the proceeds from the auction will benefit Penny Lane, an organization that provides services in residential treatment, foster care, adoption services, on-site special education school, outpatient mental health services, and transitional housing for emancipated youth.
"Penny Lane wants to thank the wonderful people of the JetHawks for making this jersey night possible," says Child and Family Specialist for Penny Lane Matt Combs. "Penny Lanes pledge is to provide the community and the Antelope Valley with the most caring and compassionate help and assistance available. We are honored that the JetHawks were willing to have a special promotion dedicated to not only raising money, but to raise hope and spirits of the community."
The final jersey auction of the year will be held Sunday and will feature a Houston Astros Jersey signed by the JetHawks.
