Frisco, Texas - FC Dallas has signed Homegrown Jesús Ferreira to a new, four-year contract, using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), the club announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

Ferreira, 18, had a standout year with FC Dallas this season, scoring eight goals and recording six assists in 33 MLS appearances. He signed with FC Dallas as the 16th Homegrown at 15 years and 329 day old on Nov. 17, 2016, making him the third youngest player in club history behind Bryan Reynolds and Dante Sealy. He has earned three call-ups to the United States National Team program, joining the U-20s and U-23s this season, but has yet to make an appearance. The 18-year-old still holds dual eligibility for both the U.S. and Colombian federations.
Ferreira made his MLS debut on June 3, 2017 vs. Real Salt Lake at 16 years and 161 days old and scored his first professional goal in the 89th minute. Ferreira is the youngest in club history to debut and the third-youngest player in MLS history to score a goal.
Ferreira first joined the FC Dallas Academy at the age of eight, when former MLS MVP David Ferreira signed with FC Dallas in February of 2009. Ferreira was part of the FC Dallas U-16 Academy team that won the 2015-16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship and the 2017 Dallas Cup Super Group.
