Jersey Flight News Release
TRENTON - Brian Price will return to the Jersey Flight in 2021. Price was a member of the inaugural Flight season in 2018 and started every game at jack linebacker.
He joined the West Virginia Roughriders in 2019, recording four interceptions, three of which he took to the house for a pick-six. Price was named 1st Team All-AAL and the Roughriders won the 2019 AAL Championship.
"We are excited to give Brian the opportunity to compete at a high level in his return to Jersey, and to be able to be so close to home I know from our conversation gives him extra motivation to be one of our playmakers in 2021," Flight head coach Terrence Foster said. Foster also added, "His physical attributes and aggressive demeanor combined with his athletic ability can make him a force to deal with in that box."
Price is a 6'4/225 athletic linebacker who played cornerback during his days at SUNY-Maritime. Price is a native of Harlem, New York and is excited about the opportunity to play near his home again. His family attended many home games during the 2018 season.
Price is a personal trainer in New York City and runs "BPhit Body Performance."
"The return home, it feels good to return back home in my backyard," Price said. "Starting my professional career in Jersey with the Flight made me the Professional that I am today and that's a champion. It's exciting and I'm looking forward to a championship season. I wouldn't have it any other way, it needs to come home," Price said.
Price will reunite with multiple players from the 2018 Flight defense such as DL Matthew Hardison and DB Eddie Davis.
"I'm eager to reconnect with my old teammates who I consider brothers and I'm looking forward to building a brotherhood with the group of professional men that'll suit up and go to battle with me. The coaching staff and the organization is in the works of doing amazing things not just for the team but the community in which we will serve and have immense impact for the greater good of humanity. That's what I believe in as well that's what it's about," Price said.
Price and the Flight are set to open the season in April 2021 at Cure Insurance Arena in downtown Trenton, New Jersey.
"I have to say I got unfinished business back in Jersey so NAL watch out. Saturdays you'll be seeing me handling business because these teams must pay the PRICE!"
