Jeremy on the Roof: Opening Night Will be a Sellout, Or Else

WENATCHEE, Wash. - Theysay that Jeremy Anders, front officeemployee of the Wenatchee Wild, will do anything to make a sale. Now he has tomake the toughest sale of his life. With opening night just four days away,Wenatchee Wild President & Managing Partner Bill Stewart has given Anders an ultimatum: Sell out opening nightor be fired!

"Jeremy was telling me the other day how much he likes The Apprentice," Stewart said. "And Itold him, 'that's so funny, Jeremy, because if you don't sell out openingnight, you're the one that's gonna get fired!'"

With good tickets still available for Friday's home openeragainst the Kenai River Brown Bears, Anders had to do something drastic to keephis job. His plan: Starting tomorrow at 7 a.m., he will live at the Town ToyotaCenter and sleep on the balcony of the TTC until he sells every single ticketto the opener. Tickets can also be purchaseddirectly from Anders at the Town Toyota Center at any time throughout the weekbeginning tomorrow morning. Ten (10) tickets or more can be purchased for $12apiece from Anders and the Wild.

"My job is on the line here, I have no choice," said a manicAnders, who was in the process of making a small shelter for himself on thebalcony of the Town Toyota Center. "I'll be living at the TTC all week until Isell every single ticket for the opener. I'll eat here, sleep here, and I surehope I sell a lot of tickets."

There are several special perks for fans to enjoy atFriday's home opener, which will begin at 7:05 p.m. The first 4,000 fansattending will receive a free magnet schedule, and everyone will enjoy the fullintroduction of this year's team and the unveiling of the 2009-10 West DivisionChampionship banner. Pyrotechnics will also be part of the opening ceremonies.

Tickets are also still available for Saturday's game againstthe Brown Bears, which will also begin at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fansattending Saturday's game will receive a free team hat.
