(Jackson, TN) July 15th- Ryan Bear's two out single in the 12th inning scored Grant Psomas with the eventual winning run as the Carolina Mudcats defeated the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx 5-4 in twelve innings on Sunday afternoon at Pringles Park. After dropping the first game of the series, Carolina won the final four games to move their record to 12-13 in the second half of the season. The Diamond Jaxx record in the second half of the season falls to 8-17, six games behind Huntsville in the Northern Division.

Chris Mobley (4-0) pitched the final two innings to pick up the win for the Mudcats. Psomas ended the afternoon 3-6 with a RBI to help lead the Mudcats offense. Bear, Brad Davis and Lee Mitchell chipped in with two hits each.

Craig James gave up the game winning hit, dropping his record to 3-3 on the season. Marshall Hubbard had a homer and two RBI's, while Luis Oliveros and Charlton Jimerson extended their hitting streaks to eleven and twelve games respectively.

The Diamond Jaxx have an off day on Monday before opening up a five game series against the Mobile BayBears on Tuesday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.
