Jacks First Round Playoff Series Determined

Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - With their win last night, the Laredo Bucks have locked up the third seed in the CHL's Southern Conference setting up a first round matchup with the Odessa Jackalopes. The Conference Semifinals between the Jacks and Bucks will begin on Friday, March 27th at 7:05 PM at the Ector County Coliseum.
The last three times the Odessa Jackalopes have qualified for the postseason ('02-'03, '05-'06, and '07-'08) their run has ended at the hands of the Laredo Bucks. In their last 14 playoff games against the Laredo Bucks, the Jackalopes are 3-11.
This season Odessa is 3-0-0 against Laredo with one game remaining on March 21st - the final game of the regular season. The season series and first round playoff series will feature two CHL Rookie of the Year Finalists in Odessa's Jeff Pierce and Laredo's Darryl Smith. Smith leads all rookies with 69 points and Pierce is second among first-year players with 65 points.
