
JackHammers, WJOL Ink Three Year Radio Deal

JOLIET, IL - JackHammer fans will head to a familiar spot on the radio dial once again as all 100 games will be broadcast this season on 1340 WJOL. The JackHammers and Next Media have inked a three year deal that will feature the Orange Crush on 1340 for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons.
"The JackHammers are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with WJOL," said JackHammers Executive Vice President and General Manager Jamie Toole. "It is a great relationship and we are proud to have them back for the next three seasons."
This season will feature a new man behind the microphone as Jason Lamar enters his first season as the voice of JackHammer baseball. The 2010 season begins when the JackHammers travel to Fargo-Moorhead on May 21st to battle the RedHawks.
"WJOL is proud to be the radio home of the Joliet Jackhammers," commented WJOL Program Director Scott Slocum. "We pride ourselves on being involved in the community and there's nothing better to do locally than watch professional baseball at Silver Cross Field. People in Joliet and Will County know to turn to 1340 for the best in local sports coverage and the Jackhammers are a huge part of that."
LOOSE GRAVEL: The Joliet JackHammers open the 2010 season on May 21st against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in North Dakota. The Home Opener is Friday, May 28th at 7:10 p.m. against the Lake County Fielders, one of two Northern League expansion teams. Season tickets, group outings and suites are available now.
