JOLIET IL - Silver Cross Field will not be hosting Northern League baseball on Friday, July 9th, but rather pro fastpitch softball when the Chicago Bandits take on the Akron Racers. Many members of both the Bandits and Racers have played on the USA Olympic fastpitch team. The Bandits and Racers, the top two teams of the National Pro Fastpitch League (NPF), will do battle at 7:10 p.m. on July 9th.
