SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Three Rockford batters hit home runs on Monday, but the RiverHawks also committed a season-worst five errors and lost, 6-4, at Schaumburg.

The Flyers scored four times in a three-error second inning and led the rest of the night.

Patrick O'Sullivan and Rich Austin hit back-to-back home runs to lead off the top of the second inning, but the RiverHawks' lead didn't last long. Two more runs scored when left fielder Kevin House misplayed Joe Pauley's RBI single into an error that also allowed the go-ahead run to cross the plate. Pauley later scored on a two-out throwing error by third baseman Jake Eigsti.

Joey Gomes led off the Schaumburg third inning with a home run to left field. House hit a two-out, two-run homer in the Rockford fourth inning. Travis Brown capped the scoring with a two-out RBI double in the bottom of the fourth.

Schaumburg starter Alain Quijano (1-3) lasted 6 2/3 innings for his first win of the season. Joshua Giles got the last seven outs and earned his second save when he got O'Sullivan on a fly to right to end the game with the tying runs on the corners.

Rockford starter Kyle Ruwe (0-4) gave up 11 hits in five-plus innings. Two of the six runs he allowed were unearned.
