JackHammers Announce "Steal This Sign" Promotion

JOLIET, IL - Stealing and baseball go hand-in-hand and now all fans can join the fun with the JackHammers "Steal This Sign" promotion. Beginning Tuesday, April 13th all fans can swipe signs around the Joliet area and return them to the JackHammers' box office in exchange for a free Spring Training ticket.
"Fans keep your eyes open as you travel throughout the Joliet area," said JackHammers Director of Promotions and Community Relations Sean Keegan. "Signs will be located all over town and this is your chance to Steal This Sing!"
The blue signs that feature "Steal This Sign" in big white letters will be positioned at various street corners in the Joliet area, waiting for all fans to gobble them up. All signs returned will be issued a free ticket to one of four home Spring Training contests.
The JackHammers will host their farm team, the Steel City Aces, at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th. The Windy City ThunderBolts, of the independent Frontier League, head to Silver Cross Field on Thursday, May 13th for an 11:10 a.m. first pitch and on Saturday, May 15th for a 1:10 p.m. start time. The JackHammers wrap up their home exhibition schedule against another Frontier League foe, the Normal CornBelters, on Monday, May 17th at 7:10 p.m.
LOOSE GRAVEL: The Joliet JackHammers open the 2010 season on May 21st against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in North Dakota. The Home Opener is Friday, May 28th at 7:10 p.m. against the Lake County Fielders, one of two Northern League expansion teams. Season tickets, group outings and suites are available now.
