
JackHammers Acquire Pacella

JOLIET, IL- The Joliet JackHammers add pitcher, J.J. Pacella, to their 2010 pitching staff. Pacella, 26 years old, a right-handed pitcher was acquired in a trade from the Lake Erie Crushers for INF Lee Huggins March 31, 2010. The JackHammers home opener will be on May 28th, 2010 against the Lake County Fielders, a Northern League expansion team.
Pacella, began his career with the River City Rascals in 2007. He then went on to spend two seasons in the Houston Astros minor league system where he advanced to the "A+" level. Pacella spent last part of the 2009 season with the Lake Erie Crushers. There he went 3-2 with a 2.63 ERA.
"JJ has a great amount of experience finishing games," said JackHammers Field Manager Chad Parker. "He will provide much needed depth to the back end of the bullpen." LOOSE GRAVEL: The Joliet JackHammers 2010 Home Opener will be Friday, May 28th at 7:10pm against the Lake County Fielders, one of two Northern League expansion teams.
