Jackals To Honor EC Men's Conference Title Sunday

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they will honor the Elmira College Men's hockey team for their win in the ECAC West tournament.
The Jackals will pay tribute to the Soaring Eagles Men's team at Sunday's 4:05 pm game against the Richmond Riverdogs. The honor comes after EC's triumphant 3-2 win over Utica College in the ECAC West tournament final Saturday night. The Jackals have five EC alums on their current roster, defenseman Chris Mann '05 and forwards Craig MacDonald '05, Jarrett Konkle '05, Josh Piro '03, and Jason Cassells '05.
The Soaring Eagles have been given tickets to Sunday's game will be applauded by the Jackals immediately before the opening face off. The Jackals organization invites all the fans in the community to join in their celebration of successful hockey in the Twin Tiers. Saturday Elmira honored the Horseheads High School Hockey team during the game against Adirondack. Horseheads won the First Arena Twin Tiers High School Hockey Championship Friday night with a stunning 4-3 overtime victory over the defending champions, Notre Dame High School.
Elmira finishes off the weekend with a 4:05 pm Sunday game against the Richmond Riverdogs, the team the Jackals are chasing for the final spot in the UHL playoffs.
