
Jackals Shutout Aigles, Split Double Header

Ricky Schafer shined in his New Jersey Jackals debut, allowing no runs, conceding two hits and striking out five batters in four and two thirds innings. Jose Velez picks up his fifth win on the season in the Jackals 1-0 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles on Thursday night to split a doubleheader.
Vin Mazzaro earned the save, his fifth of the season. Ethan Elias was credited with the loss, pushing his record to 3-9.
David Harris sent his 21st home run over the right center field wall to give the Jackals a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Harris's home run was the only run of the game.
The Jackals will be back in action Friday, August 10th for game three of a five game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
