
Jackals fall to Grays in extra frames

On the night of the Jackals' home opener, BJ Weed of the Can-Am Grays had a game winning single in the eleventh inning to lead the Grays to a 3-2 victory.
The Jackals suffered their fourth straight loss and dropped to 3-5 on the season.
Sandy Madera and Zack Smithlin each hit solo homeruns for the Jackals. Weed' s RBI hit in the eleventh inning scored Greg Strickland to break the 2-2 tie.
The Jackals' Chad Petty and Vinny DeChristofaro each pitched two-run games.
Charles Sponhouse of the Jackals gave up the winning run to drop to 0-1 on the season and Shawn Tarkington of the Grays was the winning pitcher, improving to 2-0 on the season.
The Jackals are back in action tomorrow night against the Can-Am Grays. It is Championship Night at Yogi Berra Stadium. The game will begin at 7:10. The projected pitchers for tomorrow night's game are Josh Brey for the Jackals and Tim Saunders for the Grays.
