RICHMOND, VA - A late second period goal from Mike Dombkiewicz and a tight checking third period gave Elmira their second victory in a row as the team defeats Richmond by the score of 3-2 in front of 2,383. Elmira got a two-assist night from Konstatin Kalmikov. The RiverDogs got goals from John DiPace and J.J. Wrobel. Doug Groenestege was between the pipes for the RiverDogs as he stopped 25 of 28 shots. Even in defeat, the RiverDogs improved in the shots department as the team outshot Elmira 33-28, the first time the team has met that feat this season.

The RiverDogs take to the road for a pair beginning on Friday, December 16th with a game against the Flint Generals, then conclude the trip with a battle against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, December 17th. The RiverDogs return home December 21st for a 7:05 pm game against the Elmira Jackals.
