
Jackals Coach's Show Airs Tonight; Jackals Trim Camp Roster

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today that the Jackals Coach's Show begins tonight with the Live Broadcast at 6:00 pm at the Pioneer Sports Bar & Grill in Elmira. The Jackals also announced that they have trimmed their Training Camp Roster from 33 players to 23 today.
The first Jackals Coach's Show of the season airs tonight at 6:00 pm on WENY 1230 & 1450 AM. Fans in the Twin Tiers are invited to join the voice of the Jackals Owen Newkirk as he hosts the Coach's Show live from the Pioneer Sports Bar on South Main Street in Elmira. Jackals Head Coach Kris Waltze will be making his Coach's Show Debut, and will be joined by returning Jackals defenseman Chris Mann and new forward Frank Littlejohn. The entire Jackals team will be at the Pioneer for the first Coach's Show of the season.
The Coach's show runs from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and can be heard on 1230 AM in the Elmira area and on 1450 AM in the Corning area. The show will also be streamed over the Internet and fans can simply log on to Jackalshockey.com and click on the Listen link. Don't forget that all 76 regular season Jackals games can be heard on Magic 92.7 & 97.7 FM and over the Internet at Jackalshockey.com.
In other news, the Jackals announced today that they have trimmed their Training Camp roster from 33 players down to 23 players. According to UHL Rules & Regulations, each team is only allowed 19 active players on their opening night roster, which does not include players listed on Injured Reserve, Team Suspension or Non-Roster Spots. The Jackals open the 2006-07 UHL season with their home opener at the First Arena as they host the defending Colonial Cup Champion Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 13th at 7:35 pm. They will also face off against the Wings on Sunday October 15th at 4:05 pm in Elmira.
