April 19, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Odessa Jackalopes News Release

(Odessa, TX) - After winning game five on Saturday, the Odessa Jackalopes trail the Allen Americans in the best-of-seven Southern Conference Finals, 3-2, with game six coming on Monday night back in Odessa.

Series Overall: Odessa trails 3-2

Game 3 - Wednesday at Allen, 5-2 Loss

Jeff Pierce recorded a pair of goals for the Jackalopes but Allen's Chris Whitley continued his hot play in net with 35 saves. Five different American players scored in the game three loss for Odessa.

Game 4 - Friday at Allen, 6-4 Loss

Despite a hat trick from Odessa's Jeff Pierce, the Americans took a 3-1 series lead thanks to a pair of goals from Jarret Lukin. All ten goals in the game were scored in the first two periods.

Game 5 - Saturday at Allen, 6-3 Win

Odessa kept its playoff run alive behind 38 saves from Joel Martin and a pair of power play goals from Mike Ramsay. Justin Bowers had a pair of goals for the Americans.

The Jackalopes must win game six and game seven in order to win the series and advance to the 2010 Ray Miron President's Cup Finals. The two teams split the first two games of the series that were played in Odessa.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
