The Jacks scored three goals in the third period, and five different Jacks scored to give Odessa a 5-2 win over Laredo. Juha Toivonen made 24 saves while Jeff Pierce and Dominic Leveille each had a goal and an assist on the night. It was the first meeting vs. Laredo since Odessa was swept out of last year's CHL Playoffs, four games to none, by the Bucks.
Friday @ Rio Grande Valley, 5-4 (SO) Win
Odessa ended the Killer Bees perfect run, handing them their first loss of the season with a shootout win. Alexandre Vincent's save on Travis Banga in the final round of the shootout sealed the victory. Jeff Pierce scored the shootout winning goal. Sebastien Thinel also had two goals in the game for the Jackalopes.
Saturday @ Texas, 5-2 Win
Special teams was the key as the Jackalopes scored three power play goals, and killed off 10 penalties, in the team's first win over the Brahmas this season. Dominic Leveille had a four point night with a goal and three assists. Jonathan Labelle scored his third goal in as many games, giving him four on the season.
Friday vs. Amarillo, 7:05 PM
It will be the second meeting of the season against the Gorillas. Odessa won the first game, 7-1, in Amarillo on October 28th. Kory Karlander (two goals, one assist), Dominic Leveille (one goal, two assists), and Sebastien Thinel (three assists) all had three points in that contest. Odessa will wear special New York Islander jerseys during Friday's game.
Saturday vs. Rocky Mountain, 7:05 PM
This will be the first of two meetings this season between the Jacks and the Rage (1-7-1). Last year the two teams split their two game season series as Rocky Mountain won game one, 3-2, in Odessa and the Jacks took game two, 4-2, on the road. Sebastien Thinel and Dominic Leveille combined for five points (one goal, four assists) in those two games. The Jacks will wear the New York Islander jerseys again, and hold a jersey auction right after Saturday's game.
