It's official, Cyclones to face Knoxville in playoffs

March 17, 2006 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Twin City Cyclones News Release

The Knoxville Ice Bears secured first place in the Southern Professional Hockey League with a 6-3 victory over the hapless Jacksonville Barracudas on Thursday night. With Knoxville's victory, the Pee Dee Cyclones now know that they will officially face the Ice Bears in the first round, best of five, SPHL playoffs which will begin at the Florence Civic Center on Friday & Saturday, March 24th & 25th. Game time each night will be 7:35PM.

The Cyclones will play the first two games of the best of five series in Florence due to an arena conflict in Knoxville. The complete first round schedule is listed below:

Game #1: Friday, March 24th @ Florence Civic Center (7:35PM)
Game #2: Saturday, March 25th @ Florence Civic Center (7:35PM)
Game #3: Friday, March 31st @ Knoxville Civic Coliseum (7:35PM)
Game #4: Saturday, April 1st @ Knoxville Civic Coliseum (7:35PM) * (If needed)
Game #5: Sunday, April 2nd or Tuesday, April 4th (To be determined) @ Knoxville Civic Coliseum * (If needed)

Playoff tickets on sale on Monday!
Cyclones playoff tickets for the first two games at the Florence Civic Center will go on sale to the general public this coming Monday, March 20th at the Florence Civic Center or by calling Ticketmaster at 843-679-9333. Tickets are $8.00 (general admission), $9.00, $10.00, and $11.50. $6.00 student tickets are available in the 400 level of the Civic Center.

Cyclones season ticket holders who haven't purchased their playoff tickets can still do so by calling the Cyclones office at 843-432-1234. And a reminder that the Cyclones will be holding a Season Ticket Holder Party / Playoffs Pep Rally this coming Wednesday, March 22nd from 5:30PM to 7PM at Ebenezer Park in West Florence.
