It's Game Time in Cincinnati
February 11, 2010 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Cincinnati Kings News Release
First place in the PASL-Pro's Eastern Division is up for grabs this Friday when the Louisville Lightning travel to GameTime Training Center to face the 1790 Cincinnati Express (9-3). Louisville (9-4) boasts the league's best offense behind 128 goals, while Cincinnati's stingy defense is among the best in the indoor game.
There will be a flurry of goals as Louisville's Safet Kovacevic and Cincinnati's Larry Hughes face off. Currently the pair sit at first and second respectively in goals and points. Both clubs will be tested defensively, but there will be two capable keepers on the field. Frank Peabody is known for his acrobatic saves for the Lightning, while Craig Salvati has developed into the Express first-team keeper after spending time with the U.S. National Arena Soccer Team (UNAST).
Cincinnati Head Coach Alex Rawlings is excited about the possibilities of this matchup. Rawlings hopes to defend his club's 14-game home unbeaten streak that dates back to last season. Drawing a line in the sand, Rawlings commented, "This is our home turf, this is our home crowd." Kickoff for this marquee matchup is 8:00 pm.
