East and West Titans Square Off
2/10/10 - The Western Division could be decided on Saturday and the Eastern Division could be made a little more or a little less interesting after Friday.
The San Diego Sockers (11-1) can clinch the Western Division on Saturday with a win on the California Cougars (10-4) home floor. 1790 Cincinnati Express (9-3), meanwhile, can move two games ahead of the Louisville Lightning (9-4) in the loss column with a home win.
Cincinnati is 14-0 lifetime at home and is anticipating the largest crowd in team history while the Cougars are rallying their fanbase for Pack the House Night.
PASL-Pro Game Action
The Lightning kept up their rampant play defeating Ohio 14-8 and Detroit 9-8. Louisville has become the top scoring team in the PASL-Pro averaging 9.85 goals per game. Cincinnati held serve, beating Ohio 10-4 and the Prince George Fury played their first two games against their fellow CMISL opponents, but got a rude welcome, falling 15-5 in Edmonton and 12-1 in Calgary.
KICK STARTERS - Conversations you should be having about the PASL-Pro
David Horne, Louisville Lightning
The Lightning's wunderkind general manager and assistant coach is also a potent offensive contributor. With four goals against the Waza Saturday, Horne has surged solidly into third place on the Lightning scoring charts. The 24-year old came into the season as the only Lightning player with professional indoor experience after crossing over from the rival 1790 Cincinnati.
Chay Bardales, California Cougars
The 30-year old indoor rookie and former LA Galaxy forward make a big splash in his first game with four goals against the Stars of Mexico. But then he came into Saturday's game against Tijuana with just one goal and two assists on the season. Chay picked a good time to come through, though, with two goals and an assist in a 10-7 win that kept the Cougars playoff hopes intact.
