Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
After a rainout yesterday and not having completed a game since Tuesday, the Pigs (2-4) will attempt Game One of a now rain-shortened, three-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs (5-1)... With a 5-1 loss to Pawtucket on Tuesday, the Pigs fell short in their attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time this season. Lehigh Valley was then suspended due to rain with a 0-0 score after two innings in the series finale on Wednesday... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- followed up their 3-1 series victory over the Pigs by sweeping two games in Buffalo in a rain-shortened series. Today marks Syracuse's 2013 home opener in recently renamed NST Bank Stadium.
LHP Adam Morgan (0-0, 3.00) will start for LHV against RHP Tanner Roark (1-0, 0.00).
First-pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m... Friday's postponement will not be made up until the next time the Pigs are in Syracuse.
