Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (49-76) play the finale of a four-game series against the fourth-place Pawtucket Red Sox (54-71) -- Boston's top affiliate. With a 5-2 win last night, the Pigs have won three of their last five games to improve to 3-4 on this eight-game, North Division road trip. Still, Lehigh Valley is just 5-18 in its last 23 affairs after winning six of seven, July 19-25... Pawtucket has dropped nine of its last 13 games -- and, since posting a 43-50 record on July 16, the Paw Sox have gone just 11-21 (.344) in their past 32 contests.
LHP Brian Mazone (6-12, 3.71) will start for LHV against LHP Rich Hill (2-0, 2.87).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at McCoy Stadium.
