Ironmen Announce Field Staff For 2011 Season

Lorain, OH-May 26-The Lorain County Ironmen are pleased to announce their 2011 coaching staff. Joe Rhomberg has been named as the new manager for the Ironmen. Indians great Joe Charboneau will return for his second season as the hitting coach for Lorain County. Also returning will be Steve Sunegal. Joining the staff this year will be Ryan Hartzell and J.T. Feldkamp.

Rhomberg comes to the Ironmen after spending 9 years in professional baseball, the past 5 as a coach. Joe spent 8 of his 9 years playing and coaching for former Cleveland Indians manager, Doc Edwards. After beginning his career with the Sioux Falls Canaries as a shortstop, Joe moved with Edwards to the San Angelo Colts where he continued to play the infield as well as taking the role of hitting coach and third base coach. With San Angelo, Joe had the chance to play with and coach several former major league baseball players.

The 1980 American League Rookie of the Year, Joe Charboneau and Steve Sunagel return to the dugout for their second seasons. Charboneau will resume his role as hitting coach while Sunagel will move into the role of bench coach this season.

New to the staff this year will be Ryan Hartzell and J.T. Feldkamp. Hartzell the head baseball coach at Barberton High School is also a former professional player. After a college career at Ashland University that included being named an All-American, conference pitcher of the year and a trip to the Division 2 College World Series in 2002, Ryan pitched two years professionally. He will serve as pitching coach. Feldkamp returns to the Ironmen as bullpen coach after playing for the team last year. J.T. just finished up his college career at Ohio Dominican.
