
Iron win over Peoria

The Milwaukee Iron beat the Peoria Pirates in dramatic fashion with a 62-57 win at the Peoria Civic Center on Friday night. The Iron totaled 274 passing yards between starter Tyler Donovan and backup quarterback Shane Adler. Donovan left the game with a knee injury in the first half. Tyler was 6-12 for 119 yards and two touchdowns, including a 44 yarder to Scott Burnoski. Adler ended the night 10-20 for 155 yards in the Iron win.
The Iron held Peoria scoreless in the fourth quarter to secure the win. An onside kick recovered by Iron kicker Alex Walls helped spark Milwaukee's fourth quart comeback.
Milwaukee scored the final 27 points of the game, scoring four touchdowns in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Antoine Burns ran a Peoria kickoff back for a touchdown starting the Iron scoring in the first quarter. Scott Burnoski caught a seven yard pass with 2:36 to go in the fourth quarter to end the scoring in the game. The Iron held off a Peoria drive with seconds left to take the road win from the Pirates.
The Iron take on the Tulsa Talons at the Bradley Center on Friday, May 15. Pregame is at 6:30 and kickoff is at 7:00.
