Erie BayHawks News Release

Erie, Pennsylvania - Curtis Stinson and the Iowa Energy once again proved to be too much for the Erie BayHawks to handle as they marched in to town and took care of the home team, 124-101.

It was all Iowa (35-12) as they went wire-to-wire jumping out to an early lead and led by as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter.

Curtis Stinson was stellar for the Energy as he notched his fifth triple-double of the season with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Every Iowa player in the lineup scored and seven Energy players scored in double figures. Michael Haynes (16), Scott VanderMeer (14), Stanley Robinson and Shy Ely (13), Moses Ehambe (12), and Stefhon Hannah (11) complimented Stinson's performance.

Iowa's win improves their chances of wrapping up the top seed in the playoffs and could accomplish that tonight with a Tulsa loss.

Erie dropped to 29-18, currently good for fifth overall. Ivan Johnson led Erie with 33 points, Erik Daniels had 21, and Blake Ahearn and Jermaine Beal added 11 apiece.

The same two teams face off again on Sunday at 2pm.
