Bighorns Hold Off Skyforce For Fourth Straight Win

Sioux Falls, SD - The Reno Bighorns defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 92-82 at the Sioux Falls Arena on Friday night in front of 3,759 fans. Sioux Falls cut a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to five points (83-78) with under five minutes to go in the game but Golden State Warriors assignee Jeremy Lin scored nine points down the stretch to help Reno pick up their first-ever win in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls (10-36) took an early 6-4 lead but it would end up being their only lead of the game. Reno led 33-23 after the first quarter and 57-49 at halftime.

Reno (30-16) still led by eight points (73-65) after the third quarter as both teams struggled from the field. Sioux Falls made 7-of-25 field goals (28.0 percent) while Reno only converted 4-of-19 field goals (21.1 percent). Mo Charlo's jumper with 10:09 to go in the game gave Reno their largest lead of the game at 77-65. Dominique Coleman made a 3-pointer to get Sioux Falls with five points but Reno held on to win their fourth straight contest.

Lin had a solid all-around game with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals off the bench. Patrick O'Bryant recorded a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds while Salim Stoudamire contributed 12.

Raymod Sykes posted team-highs in points (17), rebounds (7) and blocks (3). Keaton Grant scored 14 points while Dominique Coleman and Sean Marshall added 10 points apiece in defeat.

The same two teams tangle tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT at the Sioux Falls Arena in a game that will air on VERSUS at 10 p.m. CT.
