Iowa Stars get additional home date

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit announced today that he has received confirmation from the American Hockey League (AHL) office in Springfield, Massachusetts, of an additional guaranteed home date at Wells Fargo Arena. Today's announcement comes on the heels of the release of Iowa's schedule of opponents for next season. In addition to the previously five guaranteed early season home dates, the Stars will host a home game on Friday, January 12th.
The Iowa Stars other guaranteed home dates are on Saturday, October 21st, Friday, October 27th, Friday, November 10th, Friday, November 17th and Saturday, November 18th. Opponents and game times have yet to be determined. The AHL's complete 2006-2007 schedule and the Stars Home Opening Date, as well as their complete 80-game schedule, will be announced in the coming weeks.
