Fans to Select 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time

Director of Corporate Sales/Marketing David Rak of the Peoria Rivermen, proud primary affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and member of the American Hockey League, announced today that season ticket holders and fans will have the opportunity to help select the 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time, presented by U.S. Cellular (www.uscellular.com), over the next 50 days.
Until August 23, 2006 at 5:00 p.m., season ticket holders and fans will have the opportunity to vote for up to 25 of the 50 Greatest Rivermen by going to http://www.rivermen.net/poll/test/?cat_id=2/.
After voting concludes, the 25 Greatest Rivermen All-Time, presented by U.S. Cellular, will then be immortalized in a 25-card set that will be given away on 25 select nights throughout the 2006-07 season to the first 2,500 fans through the gates at Carver Arena. In addition on a 26th promotional giveaway night, the first 1,500 fans will receive an uncut press sheet of the entire card set.
Periodic updates of the Top Five vote-getters will made available on the Rivermen Web site. Complete voting results will be revealed in late August.
The Top Ten vote-getters will be honored with a special celebration on various Saturday nights throughout the season and will have the opportunity to visit with fans, sign their Rivermen commemorative cards for all present and take part in on-ice festivities.
