Iowa Cubs Postpone Saturday Night's Game
June 14, 2008 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Iowa Cubs News Release
The Iowa Cubs vs. the Nashville Sounds Saturday night game at Principal Park has been postponed due to the voluntary evacuations of the city Des Moines and flood recovery.
The two teams might play tonight if field conditions allow, however fans will not be admitted.
For those with tickets, this game will be treated as a rainout. You may exchange your tickets for any home Iowa Cubs game in the 2008 regular season except for July 3.
Information about tomorrow's doubleheader will be available early tomorrow morning.
The game was scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. and was called due to flooding in the Des Moines area. The parking lots of Principal Park are still not accessible due to levees that were built to keep flowing water from the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers out of downtown Des Moines. The Iowa Cubs will provide further information once it becomes available. Please check the website or the media for further updates.
