Indy Eleven Midfielder Tyler Pasher Named to USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 13

Indy Eleven News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven midfielder Tyler Pasher has been voted to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 13 of the 2019 season. Pasher continued to make an impact in the dying minutes of matches after scoring the game-winning goal in the 81st minute of last Saturday's 2-1 win against Pittsburgh Riverhouds SC. In addition to his goal contribution, the 25-year-old created two chances and tallied eight recoveries that kept Indy's nearly year-long home undefeated streak alive.

Pasher's Team of the Week appearance is the seventh time this season a member of Indiana's Team has made the weekly cut. Kenney Walker (Week 2), Ayoze Garcia (Weeks 4 & 11), Dane Kelly (Week 7; Player of the Week) and Evan Newton (Week 9; Player of the Week) and Neveal Hackshaw (Week 12) have earned spots in Team of the Week lineups so far this season. Pasher's appearance is also the first time he's made the Championship's top XI after earning honorable mentions on the bench in Weeks 7 and 11.

The 25-year-old's pacey wing play and accuracy have been flagship pieces of Eleven head coach Martin Rennie's system in 2019m when Pasher has completed just under 81 percent of his 221 passes and placed the third most key passes (13) to his teammates. The Canadian's skill on the ball has allowed him to weave into scoring positions, resulting in Pasher putting eight of his nine shots on target and three in the back of the net, just one off team leader Dane Kelly's pace.

Pasher entered his second year with Indiana's Team in 2019 after reupping on his contract on November 30, 2018. The Elmira, Ontario, native scored one goal and boasted a nearly perfect tackle record in 10 regular season appearances in 2018 before being sidelined due to injury halfway. Prior to his move to the Circle City, Pasher had suited up for USL Championship sides Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Swope Park Rangers and MLS outfit Sporting Kansas City. Internationally, Pasher appeared one time for Canada's Under-17 MNT squad and twice for Canada's U-20 MNT in the 2013 Francophone Games in Nice, France.

After a month at home in league action, Indy Eleven will now hit the road the next two weekends, beginning with next Saturday's first-ever meeting against expansion side Memphis 901 FC. Kickoff for the contest at AutoZone Park is set for 8:30 p.m., and the match will be streamed live online via ESPN+.

After another road tilt on June 15 at another expansion side, Loudoun United FC, Indy Eleven will return to Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, June 22, when it welcomes Atlanta United 2 to the Circle City for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Tickets for that contest - and matches in quick succession on June 26 against Birmingham Legion FC and a rivalry contest against Louisville City FC on June 29 - remain available for as little as $15 and can be purchased at indyeleven.com/tickets or by calling 317-685-1100.
