FRIDAY, APRIL 17 - ROCHESTER RAIDERS (1-2) @ MUSKEGON THUNDER (0-4), 7:00 PM

The first IFL Game this week pits two Atlantic Division opponents against each other in a clash of two improving teams. The Raiders are coming off a bye week and will try to climb back to the .500 mark with a win this weekend. Jamil Porter has led the Rochester rushing attack with 210 yards on 49 attempts and 3 touchdowns so far this season.

The Thunder are not the same team that lost the first time these two teams met back on April 4th in Rochester. The offense rebounded and had their best output of the season last week against Saginaw. Coach Anthony Parker will look to get his team its first notch in the win column at home this week.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - SAGINAW STING (3-2) @ BLOOMINGTON EXTREME (3-2), 7:00 PM

The Sting invade for the Game of the Week matchup of two 3-2 teams. The Sting are coming off of a strong, offensive performance against Muskegon and currently sit just a ½ game back of River City for the top spot in the United Conference Atlantic Division. In his first game for the Sting, QB Rob Hunt completed 21 of 30 passes for four touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown as well.

After rattling off three straight wins, the Extreme suffered a setback last week against Colorado. They currently sit in second place, 2 games back of undefeated Sioux Falls, in the United Conference Central Division. Receiver Robert Redd is second in the IFL for receptions with 26, and has caught six of those for touchdowns.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - FAIRBANKS GRIZZLIES (2-1) @ COLORADO ICE (1-2), 7:00 PM

This Inter-Division matchup promises to be a good one, with Colorado just one game behind Fairbanks in the standings. The Grizzlies suffered a lopsided defeat at the hands of Billings last week, but still hold down second place in the Intense Conference's Pacific Division with a 2-1 record. Receiver Lonnie Sanders has averaged over 15 yards per catch in three games this season, and has hauled in 6 TD passes.

The Ice got their first win of the season last week by cooling off a strong Bloomington team. Colorado hopes their fortunes have turned for the better as they have lost their two games this year by a combined total of six points. Running back Terry Washington leads the IFL in rushing with 232 yards on 47 carries to go along with 5 touchdowns.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - BILLINGS OUTLAWS (4-0) @ OMAHA BEEF (2-2), 7:05 PM

The Beef come home after three straight road contests to take on an undefeated Billings team. The Outlaws won in decisive fashion last week against Fairbanks. Their potent offense leads the league by averaging 63.5 points per game with an average margin of victory of 39 points. It is lead by Quarterback Chris Dixon who has thrown for a league high 24 touchdown passes.

Omaha will need to play at the top of their game to slay the Intense Conference giants. The Beef evened up their record last week by edging Abilene. Quarterback James McNear is among the top offensive players in the league averaging over 210 yards of total offense per game as a dual passing and running threat.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - SIOUX CITY BANDITS (0-4) @ SIOUX FALLS STORM (5-0), 7:05 PM

The Bandits and Storm square off against each other for the second time in as many weeks. The Storm won the first game by a 46-13 decision. The Bandits are searching for their first win on the young season as well as give the Storm their first loss. Defensive End Rudy Jones is among the league leaders in tackles, and will try to slow down the Storm attack.

Through the first month of the season, the Storm are the IFL's hottest team. Their offensive, defensive, and special teams units are among the top in every category and it has been reflected in their undefeated record. Kicker Parker Douglass has attributed to many of the Sioux Falls points averaging over 10 points per game and hitting 9 of 14 field goals.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - ABILENE RUFFRIDERS (1-1) @ CC HAMMERHEADS (1-1), 7:05 PM

In the crowded Intense Conference's Lonestar Division, both the Ruff Riders and Hammerheads look to separate themselves from the pack during this highly anticipated contest. Averaging over 240 yards per game, the Ruff Riders offense has gotten off to a blazing start through its first two games. Quarterback Quincy Carter has thrown for nine touchdowns against only one interception while throwing for over 400 yards.

The Hammerheads are coming off a victory over El Paso last week and now face another division foe in the Ruff Riders. The defensive unit has been the catalyst thus far for Corpus Christi by allowing its opponents less then one yard per rushing attempt. They have also kept their offense on the field as the Hammerheads lead the IFL in time of possession. Defensive back Walie Munin has shut down opposing receivers while averaging 5 tackles per game.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - EL PASO GENERALS (1-1) @ ODESSA ROUGHNECKS (0-2), 7:11 PM

In yet another Lonestar Division matchup, the Generals make the short trip to Odessa with both teams coming off losses. El Paso's second ranked defense is allowing less then 160 yards per contest. Deangelo Woodie is tops in the IFL averaging 180 All-Purpose yards per game.

Abilene hasn't gotten off to the fast start that it has in previous years, but looks to right the ship at home come Saturday. In their last contest, the Roughnecks lost a heartbreaker by one point to San Angelo. Special Teams Warrior and Receiver Jimmy Conner has given the offense great starting field position by averaging over 23 yards per kick return.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - WICHITA WILD (1-2) @ RIVER CITY RAGE (3-1), 7:30 PM

River City gets its chance at redemption, on home turf, against a Wichita team that gave them their only loss of the season so far. The Wild offense is firing on all cylinders ranking second in the league in total offense as well as being the top ranked passing offense in the IFL. Quarterback Derek Rasmussen leads the league by throwing for over 200 yards per game.

The Rage look to get back to their winning ways after beginning the season 3-0. Scoring has come pretty easy to River City as they average just under 50 points per contest. The receiving trio of Luke McCardle, Hurtis Chinn, and Maurice Avery have combined for 56 catches, almost 700 yards, and 15 touchdowns.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 - ALASKA WILD (0-2) @ MARYLAND MANIACS (1-2), 7:30 PM

The Wild make the long trip east to face the Maniacs playing in just their second home game in the history of the franchise. The Alaska offense has put will look to their running game for continued success. Running back Paul Mosely is among the top scorers in the league, averaging 15 points per game.

The Maniacs got their first win in franchise history last week against Alaska on the road. They hope to accomplish another franchise first by winning a game at home. The defense, lead by Mike Hill (3 INT, 16 tackles) and Jamar Atkinson (2 fumble recoveries), will be the key to helping Maryland even up their record and rise up the Atlantic Division standings.
