March 24, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release

Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Week Four Vidswap.com Players of the Week. The weekend was packed with highly competitive games and outstanding performances from the best indoor football players in America. Each week the IFL will select three players, one from each phase of the game (offense, defense, and specials teams), whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. Ten games were featured in the fourth weekend of play and the following player's performances propelled them to Week Four Vidswap.com Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: QB Brad Iciek, West Michigan ThunderHawks

The West Michigan ThunderHawks are on a roll to start the season as they improved to 2-0 with back to back wins over Atlantic East Division opponents. The ThunderHawks are led by QB Brad Iciek who was impressive in Week Four, completing 27-40 passes for 326 yards and 5TD's in a win over the Rochester Raiders. Iciek and the rest of the ThunderHawks will not have much time to celebrate as the Raiders head back into Grand Rapids for a rematch Sunday in Week Five.

Defensive Player of the Week: DB Donta Moore, Wichita Wild

The Wichita Wild improved to 2-1 on the season thanks to the strong play of former UConn standout, Donta Moore. Moore was all over the field Saturday, wrapping up Colorado Ice ball carriers all game long. He accounted for 11.5 tackles (8 solo, 7 assisted) including 1 tackle for loss. The Wild held the Ice to 65 total yards of offensive in the first half of play, defeating the Ice by a final score of 54-40. Wichita will be back in action on Monday night as they travel to take on the Omaha Beef in the first of five nationally televised IFL games on the 2010 schedule.

Special Teams Player of the Week: KR Antwan Harris, Fairbanks Grizzlies

Harris becomes the second Grizzlies player to be honored as a Player of the Week in the early going of the 2010 season (Johnell Brown, Week Two Defensive Player of the Week). Despite losing to cross state rivals, the Alaska Wild, Harris turned in an impressive performance in the return game. Harris racked up 135 yards on 6 returns, including a 50 yard kickoff return TD in the second quarter. The Grizzlies will be on a bye in Week Five but will have a chance to avenge the loss when they travel to take on the Anchorage on April 1st.

The IFL season continues with Week Five on Friday March 26th as the Bloomington Extreme travel to take on the Green Bay Blizzard. You can view live broadcasts of IFL games all season long at www.b2livetv.com.
